The Levi Lab

Research in our lab focuses on how we perceive visual forms and patterns, and how form perception and binocular vision is degraded by abnormal visual experience early in life (amblyopia and strabismus). Specifically, we use a broad range of methods (including psychophysics, eye tracking, computational modeling and brain imaging) to study the neural mechanisms of normal pattern vision in humans, and to learn how they are degraded by abnormal visual experience. An overarching goal in our lab is to develop and test new methods to diagnose and treat these abnormalities.
